What I collect, why I collect it, and what I will never do with it.
Last updated 22 September 2026
The short version
I am one person running a small business in Albuquerque. I collect the least I can: enough to write back to you, and enough to know which pages people read. I do not sell your details, I do not pass them to anybody else to market to you, and I do not put you on a mailing list.
Who I am
ForgeBrands is a sole proprietorship operated by Jacob Wilson in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. For anything on this page, contact me at jacobwilsonmarketing26@gmail.com or 505-290-1069.
What I collect when you fill in the form
The contact form asks for:
- Your name and email address. Required, because I cannot answer you without them.
- Your business name, your phone number, and what you need. Optional. Leave them blank and the form still works.
- What you tell me about your business. Required. Please do not put anything sensitive in that box.
Alongside that, the form records which campaign or link brought you here (the utm tags in the web address, if there were any) and which page you first landed on. That is so I know which of my own marketing is working. It is not connected to anything about you beyond the message you just sent.
I do not ask for, and you should never send, payment card numbers, bank details, government identification numbers, health information, or passwords.
What I do with it
Your message goes into my customer records so I can reply, quote the work, and keep track of the conversation. I use it to answer you and to run the project if you hire me. That is the whole list. I do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone else to market to you.
If you give me your phone number, you are telling me it is fine to call or text you about your enquiry. You can tell me to stop at any time and I will.
Who else touches it
A few companies handle data on my behalf. They are only allowed to use it to provide their service to me:
- Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers keep short-lived technical logs that include visitor IP addresses.
- Airtable stores the messages sent through the contact form.
- Google provides the analytics described below, and my email.
I may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies in your browser to do that. You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you first arrive, and change your mind whenever you like. The full detail, including which cookies and how to clear them, is on the cookies page.
Nothing on this site runs advertising cookies, and I do not use advertising or retargeting pixels.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within two years. If you become a client, I keep the project records for as long as I need them for the work, for my accounts, and for tax, which in practice means about seven years. Analytics data is kept on Google’s standard retention setting.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you are welcome to ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email me and I will do it. There is no form and no fee, and I will not make it difficult. If you are somewhere with specific privacy laws, such as California or the European Economic Area, those rights apply to you too and I will honour them on the same basis.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the form posts to my own server rather than to a third party, and the key that writes to my customer records never leaves that server. No website can promise perfect security, but nothing here is handled carelessly.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
If this page changes
I will change the date at the top. If a change actually matters to you, I will say so plainly rather than bury it in the text.
