Cookie policy
Which cookies this site sets, what each one is for, and how to change your mind.

The short version
This site uses a small number of cookies to count visits. There are no advertising cookies and no retargeting pixels. You are asked once whether analytics is alright with you, and you can change that answer at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website leaves in your browser so it can recognise the same browser later. Some are needed for a site to work at all. Others, like the ones here, are there to count how many people visited and which pages they read.
What this site actually sets
Strictly necessary
- forge_consent. Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you are not asked on every page. Stored by this site in your own browser for one year.
This one is stored whatever you choose, because without it I have no way to remember that you said no.
Analytics, only if you accept
These come from Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager:
- _ga. Tells one browser apart from another so visits are not counted twice. Lasts up to two years.
- _ga_<container id>. Keeps the state of your current visit. Lasts up to two years.
What I look at is the total: how many people came, which pages they read, whether they tapped the phone number. I am not trying to work out who you are.
What this site does not set
No advertising cookies. No Meta or Facebook pixel. No retargeting. No cookies that follow you to other websites. I do not run paid ads, so I have no use for any of it.
Changing your mind
Use the button below and the banner comes back, so you can make a different choice.
You can also clear or block cookies in your own browser settings, which works whatever any website tells you. Doing that here simply means you get asked again next time.
More detail
How I handle everything else is on the privacy page. Google explains its own handling of analytics data in its partner sites notice (opens in a new tab).
